One of our subscribers, Absalom Morifi, was involved in an accident earlier this week. An article relating to the accident appeared in this mornings “Beeld” newspaper. After reading the article this morning I had a conversation with Absalom who again confirmed the goodness of God. As a born again believer Absalom wishes to give God the glory and gave permission to us to include this testimony in our weekly newsletter.

Absalom was traveling from work in Pretoria to his home in Randburg when the accident happened near the Buccleugh interchange. A truck was traveling in the emergency lane due to brake failure. However the driver of the truck had to avoid a still standing vehicle and swerved into the moving traffic. After hitting a number of cars he slammed into Absalom’s Jetta and crushed it against a barrier. Absalom’s car was flattened.

Absalom recalls how he called on Jesus (the only name that was given to us) just before the truck slammed into him. He says that he suddenly felt Gods peace coming over him. The next moment the truck was on him.

When the emergency services arrived the personnel could hardly believe it when Absalom said from inside the wreck: “I am okay, God is great”. Absalom was fine. He did not have a scratch on him. In his words: “I did not even need an elastoplast”

Absalom continues to say: “I can only thank God for it was His grace that saved me” and “I will never understand how I got out of that wreck. But the more you trust in God, the more he He proves himself”
